Exterior Interpretive Exhibitry- Project Example 1

Little River State Park History Hike

Project Description

Working with interpretive planner and writer, Alexandra Murphy, I designed 36 wayside exhibits and one kiosk panel for the Little River State Park History Hike, interpreting a lost Vermont agricultural settlement in the hills of Waterbury, Vermont. The interpretive exhibits, along with old cellar holes, endless half-buried stone walls, and left behind artifacts – from old machinery to maple sap buckets – give visitors a glimpse of the homesteading life and a profound sense of the skills and perseverance needed to make the most of what this land offered.
