Exterior Interpretive Exhibitry- Project Example 1

Faces of Flight Exhibition

Project Description

Serving as a designer for Fermata, Inc.–a consulting firm out of Austin, Texas, working to create sustainable communities, recreation, tourism, and conservation–I designed

interpretive materials and

panels for an exhibit at

Houston’s Hobby Airport.

This exhibit included

photographs of local birds by

Fermata’s Ted Lee Eubanks,

and a series of interpretive

panels describing the bird

habitats along the upper

Texas coast. In addition,

I designed a poster of bird

images as part of the exhibit.

Visitors to the exhibit were

given a copy of the poster,

and schools in the region

received posters, as well.
